I highly recommend It’s the Lord's Farm for anybody looking for capable, healthy and intelligent livestock guardian dogs. I have two Anatolian Shepards from their farm and I can say that both are great with kids, livestock, and are an amazing predator deterrent. My family decided we needed a LGD when we moved to a property that is backed up against thousands of acres of timber land, and multiple cougar sightings later we became concerned for our goats safety. When I first spoke to Julie I had a ton of concerns and questions, which she answered in a kind, honest, and experienced manner. After getting my first dog from them I had to get a second from her because I was so impressed with the first. Anytime I have questions about training, feeding, or anything dog related I would reach out to Julie and she always provided me with helpful advice. Since getting my LGDs, I know for the rest of my life I will never not have at least one Anatolian Shepard, preferably from Its the Lord’s Farm!

I've purchased soil & garden starts from It's the Lord's Farm for many years. The starts produced very well with delicious flavor & bounty. The soil has given my plants a new start. I use it every year when I plant in the late Spring. I'm sold on them!
I also had the pleasure of purchasing half a pig and having it processed by a local organization. The meat was delicious, savory, & tender. I enjoy fresh pork chops on the grill & these didn't disappoint!
The ham steaks were immediately devoured, and the ground pork was so versatile.

Two years ago, I was looking for a livestock guardian puppy. In my research, Julie's name came up time and time again. I reached out and was amazed at the thought and care she put into dog placement. She asked me questions about my farm, fencing, pet dog, animals and family. She ended picking out a puppy with the absolute perfect temperment for what we were hoping to accomplish. She didn't just stop there either. She has answered countless questions from this novice farmer and first time LGD owner. It's refreshing to see someone put their heart, soul and pride into their work. I would absolutely make the 6 hour drive again and wish I lived close enough to buy produce.

It’s the Lord’s Farm seemed magical when I first stepped foot on their place. I was there to see about one of their gorgeous Sable goats. And she came home with me. And while there I watched the most beautiful scene play out…heard the goats’ bells and Julie’s herd came around a bend of the dirt road, followed by their livestock guardian dogs. Dogs and goats living side by side. Goats being protected by her Anatolian Shepherd dogs. I went home and pondered. I wrote to Julie to ask where she found such handsome, calm guardians. She replied, “I breed and raise them.” Julie carefully interviewed me to learn about the specific needs of my farm so she would know which puppy would be best suited. Julie has continued to work with me with our livestock guardian dog, even after bringing our dog home. The continued follow up is beyond amazing. And the goat I got from her? Love her and hope to buy another from her herd as well. Julie knows her animals. She cares for them. She cares for her customers who become friends. And her farm? Still a magical place.

My family and I had been considering a LGD for many years. We were kind of nervous as we had a bad experience with a rescue in the past. But our predator load was too much and we were losing animals all the time it seemed. I began to research again for an LGD. We had considered a great Pyrenees but decided on searching for an Anatolian Shepherd. I had no idea how to find one as they are very rare in my area. So I joined some Facebook groups to find a breeder. I was looking for a breeder that would help us along the way but also didn’t require contracts or part ownership. I read several comments after inquiring for a breeder. Julie’s comment really grabbed my attention and I decided to contact her.
We talked over Facebook messenger and then we talked on the phone. She was SO helpful and supportive. She knew we were new to the breed and had already had a bad experience with a mixed breed rescue. Yet she was willing to stay with us the whole way and helped to make this a successful match. She chose the puppy for me based on my family dynamics and our situation. I’ve never had a breeder do that. Usually you go and choose the cutest puppy. But she really took into consideration all our dynamics and recommended a male puppy we call Lomax.
The only problem was we were in north Mississippi and she was in Washington state! But she had a transport with a wonderful lady, Shelby! Shelby drove clear across the country delivering animals and also picking up more to take back to Washington. She took such good care of all the animals as if they were her own. I was very impressed with Julie and now her transporter, Shelby.
Everything went as perfectly as it could have possibly gone. Lomax was friendly and attentive the moment she opened the trailer door. He had zero anxiety. I’ve never had a new puppy that didn’t have anxiety. He was such a sweet loving and trusting puppy. He is over a year old now and we are SO happy with our beloved Lomax! We have had no more predator animal attacks and Julie has been activity involved in the whole process. Even in helping me figure out a fencing system and educating me about the breed and tips on how to work through any issues. We have total trust with this dog. Lomax has become quite famous as we run an online fashion business on our property and he is regularly in photos online. All our customers know all about Lomax!
Honestly I have had such a great experience and relationship with Julie and now I have the perfect dog. I tell everyone around here to get your LGD from It’s the Lord’s Farm in Washington state! We plan to add more!

When I began looking for an Anatolian Shepherd, I noticed Julie’s name was often recommended by individuals in the various livestock guardian groups I follow. I wasn’t sure a livestock guardian dog would work for me as my situation was unique and different. I reached out to Julie, explained my setup, and she had the perfect dog for me. I couldn’t be happier with her. When my farmland flooded and animals had to be moved she (Tundra) hopped right into the kayak without any hesitation. When I had to walk in and out of my property each day when the road washed out she walked on a leash beside me or ran alongside the tractor or ATV making sure I was safe in the hours of darkness. She’s as gentle as can be when playing with my 8 lb Sheltie, or my two year old grandson yet flips into work mode when a predator of any kind approaches my land. She’s a year old now as is my Australian Kelpie and they are absolutely the best of friends. Tundra joins my Kelpie (Hazel) for many of her training/herding sessions and consequently Tundra knows all the herding commands. She understands the Kelpies herding job and allows Hazel to perform her tasks while covering her back in case of danger. So many people told me a livestock guardian dog wouldn’t work for me. Yet Julie helped me come up with some creative solutions and a dog that’s flexible that can work with me.

Meet Roo - she is a year old now and is a wonderful dog. She has a very laid-back temperament, is good with all our animals and loves to hang out with her people ❤️ I purchased Roo from Julie’s farm when she was just a few months old. Julie has been wonderful to work with - she continues to provide guidance with any questions I may have and has been a trusted source of information on LGD breeds. A wonderful experience over all 😊

Julie was recommended to us through a trusted friend and I’m so thankful I found It’s The Lords Farm. After years of struggling with animal attacks and losses, she guided me through the process of owning our very first LGD, and I could not be more impressed. Her animals are a testament to her diligent, careful, and purposeful breeding.
She worked with me to find the right puppy for my farm and individual needs. She was happy to share her wealth of knowledge of these awesome dogs, from training, nutrition, fencing, and more.
Our LGD Thor has been a welcome and useful addition to our farm, he bonded easily and closely with “his girls” our horses.
We truly can’t imagine life without him now! I can honestly say I sleep better at night knowing he is protecting and guarding our home and farm, as we’ve suffered 0 losses or injuries since adding him to our family. When the time comes to add another to our pack, I won’t hesitant to reach out to It’s The Lords farm once again!

“An amazing family farm that is truly the heart of the community. If you are looking for natural and holistic raised animals; from LGD’s to weaned pigs look no farther. We have greatly enjoyed getting to know them after getting our first LGD and have bought several years worth of weaner pigs from them.”

Hi Julie, this is Sofya. We got her from you 1/2022. I think she was born 10/2021. Anyway, she has been an awesome LGD that is very family oriented and takes her job as a LGD very seriously. She has been great addition to our life and homestead. Highly recommend your LGDs to everyone. Thank you for your hard work into these dogs!

I would like to take the opportunity to encourage anyone interested in purchasing animals from Julie and her husband to not hesitate. Julie took so much time with me with multiple phone calls giving me information on raising rabbits. She is a fountain of information and eager to share her knowledge. When I went to their farm, all the children were so helpful and polite. Again, I want to thank Julie and her family for going above and beyond in helping me buy my rabbits.

It's the Lord's Farm is a wonderful blessing to the community! We picked up the best livestock guardian dog ever from them; such a gentle giant! And we have appreciated all the knowledge we've gained when we've stopped off to pick up produce and starts and things throughout the years. Like the time one of the sweet kiddos showed us how to milk a goat when we said ours were not being compliant! :)
