Unregistered Livestock Guardian Dog puppies - Anatolian Shepherds and LGD Crosses
Thank you for your interest in our LGD puppies. Our dogs are all full time working LGDs who do an incredible job keeping our goats, hogs, rabbits, chickens and waterfowl safe from predators. Our focus is producing outstanding working dogs and family guardians. Sound temperament, health, and proper working conformation are all important in producing better dogs. Any dog considered for breeding must have proven itself from a young age to be trustworthy and stable with stock and have passed genetic health testing.
All of our puppies receive ENS (early neurological stimulation) training, starting at 3 days of age. Learn more about the benefits of ENS here…… https://breedingbetterdogs.com/article/early-neurological-stimulation
Our females whelp their litters within a kennel inside of our goat pens, so their first smells, sights and experiences from the very beginning are centered around their livestock. Puppies will live full time with everyone at around 5wks of age and are closely monitored during this time. Individual evaluations (temperament & conformation) begin around 8wks and most puppies join their new families between 12-16wks of age on average. Puppies receive 3 full rounds (a staggered dose over the course of several weeks) of herbal wormer before placement. Homeopathic Parvo Nosodes are given weekly (from 2wks of age) prior to leaving as well. The pups receive one individual dose of Parvo only vaccine at 11 weeks.
We help potential owners pick the best puppy to suit their individual needs but also take into consideration a preferred gender and/or color/pattern.
